Why do my Thumbprints have to be taken?
To protect our customers as well as ourselves from fraud. By implementing this procedure, it increases the quality of customer service by reducing the chance that a dishonest person can use a customer’s good name and credit card illegally.
What happens if I don't want my Thumbprints taken?
The Thumbprint is a compulsory requirement for our Retail customers. Therefore, the choice remains with the customer on whether they wish to proceed with the rental.
How is the Thumbprint taken?
The Touch Pads are not like an ink-pad and will not stain hands or clothes. You will be asked to press your thumb on the pad and then press the thumb onto the Rental Agreement.
What happens to the Thumbprint when the vehicle is returned?
We will return the thumbprint to the customer at the end of the rental or destroy it by simply crossing the thumbprint through with a permanent black marker pen. The choice can be determined by the customer.
